Breast cancer SAS

This weekend I'm holding a SAS and I'm donating part of the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research. If anyone needs some scrapbooking or stamping supplies, then feel free to let me know. I'm donating 10% of all sales between now and 5:00pm Sunday for that cause. I'm also donating a portion of each packet that was signed up for as well.

It seems like nowadays almost all of us know someone affected by cancer of some sort. I thought every little bit helps, so it's my way of doing a small part.

It's also Sale-a-bration time and a great time to get supplies. For every $50 in product sold you can either pick an exclusive item from the SAB catalog or pick out a small set from the main catalog (see list in the back of the SAB brochure for qualifying sets). It's basically a $15.95 or under set for free. A great deal. So if you need anything between now and then let me know. Thanks

this month's special

Sorry, I don't have a picture for you. My daughter got hold of my camera and between that and vacation it filled up our camera. I've been waiting for my husband to download and recharge my camera. So I thought I would tell you about this month's special.
First: you can still buy the decor element growth chart until the end of the month. If you do, then you receive a free applicator with it.
Second: the special is a hostess special. If you host a workshop with customer order over $250 not including shipping and tax then you can get any item from the mini for $10 (excludes hostess and my digital studio) as part of your hostess incentive. Now what this means is that you have to use some of your hostess money to get this incentive. So you either use it straight out or you have a hostess benefits less then the minimum and then pay the $10 difference that comes up. If you don't understand that please ask and I'll explain it.

Now if you are interested in hosting a workshop in October. The $10 special is still available and then if your workshop reaches $400 in sales before s&T, then you qualify to earn the new My Digital Studio for half off. How cool is that.

My Digital Studio (a digital software to help scrap, make calendars, cards, dvds etc) will be available October 1st.

So I hope you have a great day today. Sorry I don't have a picture for you today. Hopefully it will be done and I can post tonight or tomorrow.

Deal of the week #2

Sunday, July 5, 2009

Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days. I was enjoying my mini break and we had some friends over for the fourth that I had to get ready for. I hope you have had a great 4th of July.
I've been trying to work on some samples but haven't had a lot of time these last couple of days. I'm also trying to get some ideas for swaps because convention is a month away.

So tonight I'm telling you all about a couple of specials SU is having.
One they are having a special of the week. Each Monday they will put out a new special. We don't know in advance what it is but the one that is until this monday is the scallop border punch. It's over 30% off, but only till Monday morning. Then the next weekly special will start.

The second special is a recruiting special. They have a special mini starter kit for only $85 and includes the new IN-Colors. The other option is the normal starter kit, but they added an incentive and are including for a period all the new In-color ink pads and an assortment of 8 1/2 x 11 assorted IN- color paper for free, which adds a great value onto the kit.
Of course these can be found on my website at http://detailmama.stampinup.net.
Now is a great time to join up too as you have a brand new catalog that will be here for a year, you have several months to make your first minimum, you get a discount, Christmas is coming and it makes sales a little bit easier, and coolest of all that can allow you to go to a regional conference which will be held in Cincinnati this year. Woohoo, one sort of close. So if you ever thought about it let me know and we will get together and talk about it.
So I hope you had a great holiday break. I hope to post a few cards shortly.
Thanks and as always if you have questions, just ask.

specials for June

Do they have a stampers anonymous? lol. I stayed up really late waiting for all the different lists. I'm totally addicted I believe. Not only did they share what's retiring as a demo they gave us a sneak peek of a few of the new sets coming out including a few of the new hostess sets. One of the great things about being a demo is being the first ones to see new stuff. It's so exciting.

The Last chance list or retiring lists as they have been called are out. There is a stamp list, an accessories list and a decor elements list. If you are interested in any of these or would like to order something let me know. Accessories are while supplies last and several things are already sold out. These are good through June 30th or while supplies last, so let me know if you are interested in anything as I know others that are wanting to order too and would like to combine to get the best deal on shipping. If you just want to order from the website you can do that too. Just go to http://detailmama.stampinup.net.
The other special is a hostess special. If you have a workshop or catalog sales totaling $250 to 399.99 before shipping and tax you get $20 more in free merchandise. If you order or have sales over $400 you get an extra $40 in free stuff. That's in addition to the normal hostess benenfits. So if you have a $400 party you'll get $85 in free product plus hostess level sets. If you'd like to have a party, a catalog sale or just want to buy some bigger items let me know as you may qualify for extra free merchandise.

last chance list and specials

This is a reminder that the "Last chance List" or retiring list comes out June 1st. This year they are releasing both stamps and accessories at the same time. Woohoo. This is also a reminder that the accessories that are retiring are while supplies last and they do run out. They try and update the list almost daily. We already know that IN color items will retire. Like these corduroy buttons/brads. Speaking of did you know that you can put two together? The small brad will fit into the holes of the bigger button (see picture). They merge well. Another cool way to display your items and mix up the colors. I thought it was pretty cool anyways, so I thought I'd share.
This is also the last week for the May specials. The buy 3 DSP or textured 12x12 cardstock and get one free. The 20% off Jumble alphabet and the $75 starter kit to become a new demo all end May 31st. If you have ever thought about becoming a demo now is the time. You can be one of the first to get your new catalog, get 30% off your first qualifying order, preorder sets, etc. Lots of perks and for only $75 if you want the scrapbooking kit. Let me know if you are interested, as I would be glad to help you get started.

3 new promotions

Stampin' Up! currently has 3 new promotions going on for the month of May.
1. Become a new demonstrator for as little as $75 (or you could chose the regular kit too)
2. Purchase the Jumble alphabet stamp set (in new catalog coming out) at a 20% discount during May.
3. Buy any 3 DSPs (except taste of textiles) or textured cardstock and get one free.

These are 3 really great specials right now.

1. If you have ever thought about becoming a demo (even if just for the perks) then this is one of the lower amounts I've seen. It's also good if you have a lot of the items in the normal starter kit.
This special starter kit includes the following:
Item Code Description Retail Value
113510 Schoolbook Serif Alphabet stamp set* $42.95
113059 Simply Scrappin' Petal Party $19.95
108697 Earth Elements Assorted textured card stock (12" x 12") $11.95
105240 Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad $7.5
*Substitutable for any stamp set up to $43.95 value.

Please note: Each of the products listed above may be substituted for like items. The Scrapbooking Starter Kit also contains all the business supplies contained in the standard Starter Kit:

  • Getting Started DVD
  • Getting Started Guide
  • Guest Invitation Postcard (100)
  • Idea Book & Catalog (8)
  • Occasions Mini Catalog (8)
  • To My Hostess Envelope (10)
  • Recruit Folders (5)
  • Recruit Brochures (20)
  • Hostess Brochure (20)
  • Hostess Benefits Form (10)
  • Customer Order Form (50)
2. The jumble alphabet is a hodgepodge alphabet as each letter is different. It comes with both a big and little of each letter. It will be in the new catalog, but for this month you can purchase it ahead of time and at 20% off. It will normally be $43.95 and you can buy it for $35.16.
If you would like to see a picture of it email me.

3. If you need some Designer Series or texured paper, then now is the time to stock up. The buy three get one free is a great deal. Just list the 3 you want to buy and then put in the one you want free. If you are ordering online, I've heard that you will enter you free paper later on in the transaction (there is a button to click on - so don't forget that). If you enter it in the normal place it will charge you for it, so if you have issues contact me directly. Just remember if there is a $ amount next to it, then you are paying for it.
You can find out more information (or see pictures) on my SU website: http://detailmama.stampinup.net.

Hope you have a great day. :)

get connected campaign ends Wed

Sorry, I don't have a picture to post for you today. It's been kind of a rough busy last few days and I haven't had time to create anything new. I do plan on sharing my bible study scrap pages, but I have to take a picture and the lighting is not good at the moment. I thought I had one, but if I did it got downloaded to the wrong computer as it's not on this one.
I did want to remind you that the get connected campaign ends Wednesday April 30th. If you are interested, you can order online at my SU site http://detailmama.stampinup.net.
This campaign is where you spend $40 from the mini catalog (not the main catalog) before shipping and tax and you get to pick an item from the under $10 page in the main catalog for free. Just make sure you enter your free item last and it should come up as $0. If it doesn't something is wrong and just ask. Thanks and have a great day.

Don't forget about the get connected campaign

Don't forget about the get connected campaign this month.
Spend $40 in the new mini catalog or host a workshop with $150 in product sales and earn a free item from the under $10 page (page 208 in the main catalog). This includes the two mini note kits too, which include stamps, a chocolate stampin spot and note cards in a little plastic case (like the one stamps typically come in). These are fun and could also make a great little gift to give someone. It's all ready to go, just decorate with a fun belly band and a tag and it's a cool gift in and of itself. Just a thought to help enable. :) I just had to share as I've already gotten a couple myself and found them to be pretty nifty.

Get Connected campaign

Get Connected Campaign:
From April 1-30, spend $40 on products in the Occasions Mini Catalog or host a $150 workshop and get a FREE item from the “Under $10” page in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog (p. 208).

With spring starting and people venturing out now is a great time to connect with friends and family. What better way to say I'm thinking of you then with a home made card or gift.
Let me know if you need anything to get you started.

I know I love receiving cards or notes letting me know that someone cares. I'm sure you have friends and family that do too. Is there anyone you'd like to share a kind thought with or say I love you too? Now is a great time to do that. It will make their day I'm sure. So I encourage you to share a kind thought or bless someone's day by letting them know how much you care.

Sale-a-bration ends in 4 days

This is just a friendly reminder that Sale-a-bration ends in 4 days (March 31st). If you are new Sale-a-bration is when you spend $50 in SU product (before shipping and tax) you get to chose one item from the Sale-a-bration brochure for free (there are 4 stamp sets, a ribbon bundle and a paper pack to chose from). It's not to late if you are still interested. You can contact me or go to my SU site http://detailmama.stampinup.net.
The other incentive right now during Sale-a-braton is the new recruit incentive. If you ever thought about being a demonstrator now is a great time. The starter kit, which is already a good deal, is on sale plus you get an extra free stamp set from the catalog. Let me know if you are interested in this opportunity as time is running out.

New information about starter kit

Here is some information about the starter kit that just came out. From now until April 30th, SU is allowing for a 3 easy payment plan on the basic starter kit. It's a trial to see how customers like it. If you ever thought about being a demonstrator now is a good time to join. You have to decide soon though, because the payment plan option has to be mailed in. To get the discount price it has to be in their office on or before March 31. After that the price returns to normal, but the 3 payment plan is valid until April 30th (in their office). So if you considered this, but can't afford the whole cost up front talk to me about the three payment plan.
The starter kits by themselves are a great savings on the various supplies. Just add up the stuff for yourself and see. Then you add 15% off during Sale-a-bration, plus a free stamp set from the catalog on top of that and it's an even better deal. If you are just starting and needing supplies this is a great way to get started. Then as long as you are active you get discounts on your stuff, you get to be the first to see and get product, and right now there are added benefits in honor of SU's 20th anniversary. The only thing you have to do to stay active is to have $300 in sales a quarter. If you are addicted like I am and have a super long list or if you like to share all about the great products they have, it doesn't take much to reach that level.
You can chose how to run this business too. It's flexible based on your schedule. You can also just do it as a hobby to help support your habit and get discounts or you can work it like a business and eventually earn income. It's all up to you. So if you are interested in starting something like this and sharing your love for stamping / scrapbooking with your friends, let me know and the sooner the better for the best deal as the 15% off and free extra stamp set ends on March 31st.
Oh, another note with the starter kit, just so you know. You can substitute most all the consumable product goods (stamp sets, ink, paper, etc.) within limits. Like you can change ink colors or you can change stamps, but it needs to be that dollar level or less (i.e no craft for classic ink since they cost more or you can't pick another stamp higher then that value) Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks.

New Catalog is available

The new catalog is available and has all kinds of cool stuff in it. I have a list a mile long. You can shop at my website here or you can contact me with an order. If anything shows up as back ordered and won't let you order it, you can typically order it through me. It just means that it will take a little longer to get is all. Some things are already so popular and demand greater then expected that there are some items already being delayed.
The main exception is the Sizzix bag, they had to switch vendors for quality issues so that is temporarily turned off. I'll let you know when they turn that one back on. If you have already ordered it, you will be first out when it comes in.

I apologize for some of the backorder issues, with the holidays, SU taking inventory and then switching to all die-cut stamp sets things have been a little slower. The cool news is that all the new sets are die-cut with the exception of backgrounds and the small alphabets. Yeah!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the deadline for all the following:
Fall/winter catalog (at least the retiring sets and accessories)
Current sampler promotion
inventory blowout sale (including items in new catalog).

The new catalog will be available starting at noon on Monday the 19th. I'm so excited. Can you tell? I already have a list a mile long. :)

It's that time of year again. Coming Feb 1st - Sale-a-bration (the period where you spend $50 in product you get to pick a free item out of the Sale-a-bration brochure. If you'd like to host a party during that time let me know - we can do catalog parties too for those of you that prefer that route.)

Also starting Feb 1st thru April 30 - anyone who places an online order and chooses a demo will receive a free catalog. You can do that at Stampin' Up! and then chose me as a demo or you can go directly to my SU website at www.detailmama@stampinup.net or click here to go there.

Sorry, I don't have a picture today. I spent the time watching my kids basketball games and hanging with some friends. We haven't gotten much time to do that lately, so it was good to do that. I hope to post another picture soon.
