loads of love sponging
I'm worried this little set will retire. It's been around for a long time now, but it's really fun for various types of cards. Plus I tend to like sets that can be colored in. So here is another card idea (or it would be fun in a scrapbook too). I didn't copy this one, but I'm sure there are others out there that look similar to this one, especially as long as this set has been out. So I hope you like it. Maybe you can get some time to color too. It really is fun. :)
Here is what I used for this card.
paper: Confetti white
ink:bashful blue, old olive, close to cocoa, black stazon; water color crayons, chocolate chip marker
stamps: loads of love & accessories
accessories: aquapainter, key tag punch, sponges, dimensionals
Forest Friends 2nd simple card - non Father's day
Some days I like really quick and simple. How about you? I had some other cards I did that show a lot of coloring. I'll show those the next couple of days for you, but wanted to show you how just a clean simple card could be good too. So I hope you have an absolutely fabulous day today.

Pacific point bookmark
This is another project SU taught me how to do. I learned about this one last year at convention, but just now finally got around to sharing it with my club members. I think it's pretty and functional too. Since I like crafting in general, it fits right in with my style. I also like that it's bright. There are a few IN colors I will miss as always. It's always sad to see them retire. This one uses the Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point IN Colors. It's bright and cheery, which I definitely need from time to time. So I hope you like the bookmark and have an awesome day today.
Here is what I used to make this bookmark:
paper: whisper white, Old olive pattern dsp, pacific point
ink: tangerine tango classic, old olive craft ink.
stamps: Eastern Blooms
accessories: Pacific point ribbon, filigree brads, onboard essentials, glue dots, dimensionals, snips, sticky strip, 1/2" circle punch.

great friend baja card
Also, I got this card Idea from SU. They have a showcase of cards and display 5 or so cards every day for us to see as samples. This one was created by Kim Nolan. I did modify it a little though. My butterflies are stamped on white and cut out and dimensionaled and the saying is also cut out and popped up with dimensionals. I thought this was a very pretty card, so I was glad she shared the idea.
Also, don't forget that if you'd like to be a SU demonstrator and be the first to see catalogs and items and get items to share or use or get to see different ideas everyday, then now is a good time to join. They have a special scrapbooking demo kit for new demonstrators. For $75 you too can be a demonstrator and be the first to get a new catalog and first to see and get all the new stuff. It's a great deal as the items in the kit are more then the total, plus you get all the business supplies too. Of course you can always get the traditional starter set too, which is also a good deal too for what you get. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you more information. So I hope you enjoy the card and have an awesome day today.
Here is what I used for this card.
paper: Baja Blue, Not quite Navy, Whisper white, Walk in the Park DSP
ink: Not quite Navy
stamps: Great Friend
accessories: white grosgrain ribbon, snips, dimensionals
Praying for you club card
So because I've been so busy, I have some club/class items to show you until I get some time to be creative. I should get some time this weekend, so I'm excited. So here is one of our club cards we made. It uses the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. The tree is actually green and chocolate, which is a little hard to see in this picture. Also the chocolate oval is raised up with dimensionals and the rest you can pretty much see. Hope you like this and it inspires you to make something cool. Hope you have a great day today.
Here is what I used for this card:
papers: old olive, chocolate chip, whisper white.
Ink: old olive; markers chocolate chip and old olive
stamps: Thoughts and prayers
accessories: old olive grosgrain ribbon, wide oval and designer label & ticket corner punch, dimensionals

Baby card
She's going to have her first baby soon and she's going to make a great mom. I know because she has spoiled my kids on more then one occasion. She also has a great support system and lots of friends to help her spoil her little one too, which I can't wait for as I love spoiling little ones. Everyone has to have a baby fix from time to time right? Well maybe. ;), at least I do.
She picked an animal theme, so I made her this card. I made it a neutral color, since she doesn't know what she is having. I thought it turned out cute anyways. I also made one in blue too, so you
So I hope she enjoyed this card as I made it a while back and have had to hide it for awhile now. It's funny I kept wanting to post it or show it to her and I would realize - not yet. So I hope you enjoy the card idea...finally.
Here is what I used to make these cards:
Stamps: Wild about you, Family Phrases
inks: Certainly celery or bashful blue
paper: Whisper white and either certainly celery or bashful blue
accessories: celery or bashful grosgrain ribbon, glue dots.

Butterfly barrette
It's made the same way the flower was made. It has two thick layers too and it's pretty much an exact copy of the butterfly that Amy Celona used on her video. You could use different colors though and make it as wild or as real looking as you'd like. I believe Amy made her's into a pin like the flower, but I thought my daughter would like it to be a barrette. It really looks cute in her blondish hair. I liked the colors of this one for that reason, otherwise I would have ventured out into other colors. I'm still thinking about trying some other colors but I have a club, 2 classes, and a girlscout thing to get ready for. There are a few items in this that aren't SU though, but they also don't carry these items either. So
You can take the rhinestones out of the brads, but this was so much easier to buy the self sticking kind. They also went down in size which worked out perfectly.
The side view shows you what it looks like. I did make another one that had more dimension, but I shaped this one to fit onto the barette nicely and more securely.
So what do you think, do you like it? I'm still thinking about that plaque idea too. I can see several of these with flowers on a welcome plaque. Hopefully it inspires you to create too as that's what all the fun is about. So I hope you enjoy seeing this and have a great and beautiful day today.
Here is what I used to make this item:
stamps: God's Beauty (hostess)
inks: black stazon; markers: banana, apricot appeal, pumpkin pie
paper: barely banana
accessories: crystal effects
Non SU items: Modge podge, gold wire, rhinestones, barrette

3D Fifth Avenue Floral
I saw this technique from demo Amy Celona. She graciously shared how to make this in a video. This top one is pretty much a copy of her flower. The barely banana one is a color I chose as it reminded me of my grandmother as it was her favorite color rose. It's hard to tell by these first
As you can see by the next couple of pictures it really is 3D and it takes several parts to put it together. It actually took a lot longer time then I thought it would as you have to let the layers dry. It was fun though as I love craft making in general and this was a new technique to learn. The other picture shows several of my parts laid out drying. Each section is made with three layers of cardstock Modge Podged together.
There is shading on the flower but it's a little hard to see in the picture. So what do you think? Do you like them? I did and I want to try some more items to put together my plaque idea, but I have to work on some gift items first.
So I hope you enjoyed seeing the flowers and I hope you have a great day today. My challenges to you today are one try to bring some beauty to someone's life today by doing something nice for them and two break out of your shell and try something fun and different. Who knows maybe you will come up with the next cool idea like Amy did.
stamps: Fifth avenue floral, God's beauty (hostess)
inks: stazon black; markers blush blossom and barely banana, certainly celery
papers: blush blossom, barely banana, certainly celery.
accessories: crystal effects, craft scissors, glue dots
Non SU materials: modge podge and pin back

graduation day
So I made her this card. I chose these colors as this is the colors of the school she attends, but could easily be adapted to match any school. If there isn't any thin ribbon that matches then you could probably use a tabbed ribbon verses one folded over like this. Also the congratulations is embossed and raised up on the card, which is hard to see here. I also used the stampa-ma-jig to help me line up the letters and the top white piece is on dimensionals.
I hope you enjoy it and get some ideas to help you out as well.
Here is what I used to make this card.
papers: black, real red, white
ink: real red, versa mark
stamps: varsity alphabet, SAB - congrats
accessories: ticket corner punch, black embossing powder, heat gun, stampa-ma-jig, sponge, silver brad, black grosgrain, dimensionals.

mother's day idea
I used the Fifth Avenue Floral flower again and colored in with markers this time. You can use the same color marker and it just adds a touch of shading. Go back over it and it makes it a little darker in spots. I then cut it out and then used the oval punch to punch leaves. I then folded in half and trimmed the edge and scored and inked the leaves. I then curled them a little and popped the flower up on dimensionals.
I hope you like it as I do. This is also a 4 x 4 card as I wanted to make something different.
Here is what I used to make this card:
paper: barely banana, summer sun, chocolate chip, whisper white, old olive
ink: stazon, chocolate chip : Marker - barely banana, old olive
stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral and Fresh cuts
accessories: large oval punch, snips, bone folder, dimensionals

I've been trying some new techniques and I hope you aren't getting tired of the flowers. These techniques just work so well with these flowers and the die it's hard not to use them. I'll have to look through my stash and see what others I can work on too. Hmm... maybe the truck from the Loads of love set. I'll have to see what other open sets I have. I can't remember who I first learned this from as there are several demos that I learn stuff from, so if you were the first to do this let me know and I'll give you credit.
Here is a new technique. I used two different color combos so you could see some differences. the top one has more yellows with a touch of pink and the bottom has more pink with a touch of yellow. Just a slight variation but definitely different results. It's best to work with stamps that have some coloring options. This is done on Shimmery white paper. First set out a drop or two of reinker on something slick (i.e. an old CD or a plastic top, paint tray, etc). I chose 3 colors here - Barely Banana,
Here is what I used:
Papers: shimmery white (for flower), whisper white, regal rose, cameo coral, certainly celery
inks: cameo coral craft: reinkers - barely banana, regal rose, cameo coral
stamps: Fifth avenue floral, heard from the heart
accessories: white embossing powder, heat gun, snips, Big shot, little leaves die, dimensionals, clear embossing powder (words)
