bugs and kisses shirts
He only wanted one of each bug except the worm and caterpillar, so that's what he did. She has at least 3 of each one on each side. We washed them first of course and then stamped them in craft ink and heat set. It was a pretty fun project to do with them and they liked it a lot.
Now they have cute shirts to wear around too. My friend said her onesies held up for at least one wash, so hopefully these will stay too. Each type of bug is a different color, so that adds to the fun look of it too. Pretty quick and easy summer project. so I hope you enjoy and get some new ideas. I'd love to hear about some of your trials too. Comment or email me and let me know what you are working on. Have a great day.
cheep talk fun
I just colored the branch and bird with markers (they are separate stamps so you can use them together or separate) and stamped them. The sayings are separate too, so you just ink them up and use them. I was also trying to distress my paper a little differently too. It's hard to tell in the picture, but where I tore it I was trying to separate layers. So in the top left only the top layer of the Dusty Durango is rolled down. Anyways, this is just a fun quick card. I'll have more to show you tomorrow as I took some time to work on some harder items today as well as some swaps. Only 2 weeks till convention, how will I get them all done? :) I'm excited though.
Here is what I used for this card:
paper: Dusty Durango, Brocade blue, old olive, whisper white
ink: Markers - dusty durango, borcade blue, summer sun (beak), chocolate chip, old olive
stamps: cheep talk
accessories: Dusty durango polka dotted ribbon

Deal of the week #3
silver medallion card
The Medallion part is stamped in Versa Mark on Basic gray paper, although it would probably look really pretty on silver paper too. It is embossed with silver. I then cut out around the outer edge and added a basic small grommet to the center over a punched piece of basic black paper. I then added it to some Olive paper, matted on real red on top of black paper. I then stamped the Merry Christmas in olive craft ink and heat embossed that with clear embossing powder. Punched it out using the Word window punch and mounted it with the Modern label punch in real red. I then added two silver brads to coordinate with the silver embossing and popped it up on dimensionals. I guess I'm starting to get in the Christmas mood as three of the cards I made tonight were about Christmas. I have more items or pictures to show you but I must first charge my battery. So I hoped you enjoyed my early Christmas card. Maybe it gives you some ideas of things you'd like to start working on soon. Because Christmas is only just over 5 months away. Not long if you like to craft items and have a lot going on.
Here is what I used for this card.
Paper: basic black, real red, old olive, basic gray, whisper white
ink: versa mark, old olive craft ink
stamps: medallion background, teeny tiny wishes
accessories: small grommets, 1/2" circle punch, bone folder, snips, silver & clear embossing powder, heat gun, word window and modern label punch, silver brads, dimensional

medallion simple card
It will be harder for me to post in the next few days. My family has VBS after work this week and I'm trying to get some swap ideas for convention. I still wanted to show you this card though. It uses two of the new IN Colors - Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry. It also uses the new polka dotted ribbon and the new Modern label punch with the new word set Teeny Tiny wishes. I just stamped the image on my base card, tied a ribbon on it, stamped the words, punched them out and put dimensionals under it to raise up the sentiment. Pretty fun and easy. So I hope you enjoy my card today. I'm also playing with my chalks with this set too. Talk about some fun effects. Have a great day.

Christmas in July with the Big Shot
As you can tell by the second picture the Movers and Shakers die for the Big Shot cuts out a hole in the front of you card which coordinates with our punches. The image on the inside is stamped and punched out with the curly label punch and fits right inside the hole. The hole can be moved anywhere on the card. I just chose to put it in the bottom right corner.
It's a very s
PS. the ribbon isn't crooked. The card is slanted in the picture and it cuts off the left bottom part of the card.

join stampinup - mini starter kit
Sunday, July 5, 2009
Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days. I was enjoying my mini break and we had some friends over for the fourth that I had to get ready for. I hope you have had a great 4th of July.
I've been trying to work on some samples but haven't had a lot of time these last couple of days. I'm also trying to get some ideas for swaps because convention is a month away.
So tonight I'm telling you all about a couple of specials SU is having.
One they are having a special of the week. Each Monday they will put out a new special. We don't know in advance what it is but the one that is until this monday is the scallop border punch. It's over 30% off, but only till Monday morning. Then the next weekly special will start.
The second special is a recruiting special. They have a special mini starter kit for only $85 and includes the new IN-Colors. The other option is the normal starter kit, but they added an incentive and are including for a period all the new In-color ink pads and an assortment of 8 1/2 x 11 assorted IN- color paper for free, which adds a great value onto the kit.
Of course these can be found on my website at http://detailmama.stampinup.net.
Now is a great time to join up too as you have a brand new catalog that will be here for a year, you have several months to make your first minimum, you get a discount, Christmas is coming and it makes sales a little bit easier, and coolest of all that can allow you to go to a regional conference which will be held in Cincinnati this year. Woohoo, one sort of close. So if you ever thought about it let me know and we will get together and talk about it.
So I hope you had a great holiday break. I hope to post a few cards shortly.
Thanks and as always if you have questions, just ask.
